Many of our club members train their dogs to compete in AKC Rally and/or Obedience. Here are the brags. . .

AKC Rally® is a companion sport to AKC Obedience. It too requires teamwork between dog and handler along with performance skills similar to obedience. Rally provides an excellent introduction to AKC events for new dogs and handlers, and can provide a challenging opportunity for competitors in other events to strengthen their skills. All dogs are eligible to compete in rally.
AKC Obedience trials showcase dogs that have been trained and conditioned to behave well at home, in public places, and in the presence of other dogs. AKC Obedience trials allow exhibitors and their dogs to enjoy companionship and competition as they proudly earn AKC titles.

March 2017:
Our Specialty & the Superstition Kennel Club shows were quite successful for our club members.
Mimi and Liz, Smack-Dab’s Knight of the Iguana AZ RN, finished their RN title and earned impressive scores toward their BN title.
Tina and Aero added a CD to their list of titles! He is now Bakar’s Dynamic Heart CD RE CGC!
John and Harley added an RE title! Guymac’s Red Rock Sunrise CD RE.
Barb finished Dawson’s RA title – He is Irongate’s Borne on the Wind CD RA (owned by Eve Auch)
Kathleen and Gracie earned their RN title so she is now Gracie Guyer CD RN CGC and Kathleen’s Pistol earn a CDX leg!

February 2017:

Prescott 2016:
Ch Irongate’s Neon Cowboy CD RN CGC. He accomplished his CD & RN in Prescott. Placed 2nd in 3 out of 4 shows. Owned by Eve Auch. Trained by Barbara Nagy.
Chino Valley 2016:
Club member Bob Allen & his boy Kris received their Beginner Novice Title today at the Chino Valley Obedience Show with a 195.5 and 1st Place ribbon!!!! Congratulations Bob & Kris!
Williams 2016: Flagstaff Kennel Club had their show in the lovely town of Williams, Az and many of our club members took the opportunity to escape the heat and show off their rally & obiedience skills!
There were many almost Qs by quite a few teams that had never entered the ring and some that hadn’t set foot in the ring in decades. We are delighted to see so many of our club members out there having fun with their dogs! A few of us came back with Qs!

So the Top Twenty Obedience for 2015 list just came out and our own Mark Ronnfeldt & Paws Knights Templar Deus Vult CD made the list. Ending the competition year at #14!!!!! Huge Congrats to a fantastic team!!
